Henleaze, to the north west of Bristol is a charming suburb, with a mix of Edwardian houses and post-war semis. Many of these spacious homes still retain their original features and give the area its distinctive character. Popular with professionals, it offers an easy commute to Bristol city centre by bus, train, bike or car. It’s just two miles from Redland railway station and a 15 minute journey to Bristol Temple Meads.
It’s close to the M5 as easy to get to Cribbs Causeway for excellent shopping and leisure options with quick access to Somerset and the Cotswolds. The Bristol Downs, protected parkland with beautiful walks, outdoor activities and excellent views of the surrounding area, are also nearby.
The suburb itself has plenty of green spaces and gardens as well as two former quarries which have been converted into public parks. One of them, now known as Henleaze Lake, has been used as a swimming club since 1919 and offers open water swimming all year round in beautiful surroundings.
